Hear yourself on the podcast!

If you've ever wanted to hear yourself on an actual podcast; or you'd like to do me a little favor; I'd love for you *yes ->you<-* to record a short bumper for "Geek Out! with Mainframe". You can record it and email it to gowmainframe@gmail.com or you can call the voice mail number, 206-350-0528, and leave a message. If you have a sound file that is too big to download, let me know & we can figure out a way to get it to me. For example, if you have Dropbox we could use that. Skype also has a way to transfer files.

The bumper could go something like: (but please feel free to do what you want) :)

"You are listening to 'Geek Out! with Mainframe'."

Then put your name/code name & blurb here: "This is Joe Jones of the 'Keeping Up with Jones' blog. You can find me at www.jonesingformore.com"

Then feel free to add a line or two for fun, like "Oh ... but I don't listen myself. I have standards!" or "No monkeys were harmed in the making of this podcast".

I do ask that you keep it relatively clean (O.K. for a 12 year old/PG/safe for radio). You can send something "R-rated" but I'll have to wait until I have an interview or feedback show with explicit language to use it.

I won't typically put music or sound effects with your bumper but feel free to add any yourself if you really want to. Just please make sure all audio is your own or under an appropriate Creative Commons license (or equivalent). If I need to include attribution, please let me know.

If you email me an audio file, I can accept ".wav", ".mp3", or ".ogg" files. I can take any sound resolution, but the higher the resolution the better. (The final podcast won't be any higher than 128 kbps 44.1kHz.)

Thanks,
Richard aka Mainframe
